Here
is my Viper dressed in colours of Fuerza Aérea de Chile (FACH). The kit is the
Hasegawa F-16 D which has included some aftermarket and a lot of modifications
to represent the F-16 Block 50, in the configuration used by the FACH.
I
added the instrument panels, spine and extension for the parachute in resin
produced by a local manufacturer; the ejection seats are from Avionix/Black Box,
which are appropriate to the type used by Chilean Viper, along with some details
from Eduard photoetched set. I also added a lot of details in scratch, mainly in
the cockpit, wheel wells and landing gear.

To
make
the camouflage I used acrylic paints Vallejos painted on a base coat made with
Grey Primer from Model Master. The washing of panel lines was made with artistic
oils and the weathering was made with pastel chalk.
For
metallic areas I used Alclad II, which gives a very real aspect to the nozzle
Finally,
the paint was sealed with Testors Dullcote.
The
decals used correspond to the sheet released by Two Bobs for Chilean Viper (F-16
Peace Puma) complemented by some decals made by my friend Francisco de la Cerda.
The stencils of the missiles are from Two Bobs and the LGB and pod Litenin have
data from Flying Leathernecks decal sheet.
I
want to say thanks to all my friends in the forum IPMS-Chile, who gave me a lot
of information about this Viper.
