1/48 Eduard Focke Wulf Fw 190 A-8/R2

This my Fw 190 A-8/R2 finished almost a year ago.  The Eduard kit is very well detailed, but some experience in grinding and filling is required.  It's all out of the box except a scratch built opened engine panel.

This particular version of Fw 190 was called "Sturmbock" which means "Battering ram". They were used against heavy bombers trying to bomb the III Reich.  My model depicts a plane flown by Werner Gerth - here's the photograph of the original.

I used Model Master enamel paints from their Authentic range. And this is my first model painted with an airbrush. The model won a local competition in spring of 2009. I know it has some flaws, but I am proud of it.
