Silly Week 2010

When the top-secret WW I airbase at Sniffington-on-Snide  (Code Name: “Daisy Hill Puppy Farm”) was dismantled, this curious device was found buried under the old hangar. This is the re-construction of that relic, created for the edification of the current RAF, that they might document yet another facet of their history. Why it was buried there is subject to conjecture, but records also found at the site indicate that the entire project was Top Secret.

According to those records, a certain Flt. Lt. “Snoopy” Brown actually took this craft into combat over France on several occasions. These records also revealed the existence of yet another German pilot nicknamed the Red Baron. He was apparently from the Province of Kershu, as the records mention “Kershu Red Baron” in several places. Kershu itself was apparently absorbed and renamed by the Third Reich. Unfortunately the records also reveal that Flt. Lt. Brown was somewhat less than successful in sorties against the Kershu Red Baron, and was allegedly shot down over France on one occasion and had to “walk home” with the assistance of the French underground.

The blacked out areas on this re-construction may be missing parts, or they may be redacted by the re-construction’s creators. Top Secret, you know…
