This is my second contribution to ARC.  This time it's the very nice 1/72 Hawker Typhoon Mk.Ib.  I built it completely OOB.

The kit goes together great, I needed very little filler.  The detail is excellent for the scale. Surface detail is good, it has recessed panel lines and a nicely detailed cockpit.

I used mainly Humbrol paint on this one. I chose the kit decals for "Betty", A Typhoon flying with No. 193 Squadron in 1945.  I've had some bad experiences with Academy decals in the past, but these ones caused no trouble at all.  A little Microsol and Revell's new decal setting fluid helped to get the decals on the bulges on the wings.  I used the Tamiya weathering set to get the smoke stains on the fuselage and on the wings near the cannons.

That's it.  A nice and simple kit, which I highly recommend.  I didn't check for accuracy, but it looks like a Typhoon to me.

Thanks for looking.
