TF-102A Delta
Dagger 509th FIS
This is my
conversion of a Hasegawa F-102A I built when I was a child to a TF-102A using a
RVHP conversion set and a lot of scratch building. It was completed between
November 2007 and September 2009.
It represents one of
the 509th FIS aircraft that participated to operation Water Glass, it
was seen at Don Muang, Thaïland and Tan Son Nhut, Vietnam around 1962.

It was painted using
H61 for ADC grey and H58 for interior green. Decals came from the RVHP sheet and
from an old Superscale sheet, missing stencils were home made with an ink
printer.
Some parts had to be
scratchbuilt like main wheel legs, missile bay, APU, engine exhaust, pitots...
My RVHP canopy was flawed so I redid it using thermoforming. Seats were detailed
and duplicated using home made resin mold. Falcon missiles are from Hasegawa
weapon set.
I hope you liked it
!
