This is
the Highplanes 1/48 Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation Avon Sabre released a few
years back; complete with Aires resin cockpit, self-made hypodermic wing pitot
and a lot of elbow grease!

The
"Sword" was (IMHO) one of the most beautiful aircraft ever to grace
Australian skies, and we are truly fortunate to have one back in flying status
with the Temora Air museum... The story of its recovery & subsequent
restoration to flightworthy status is well worth the research!
To see one of these
flying is truly a sight to behold! And the 76Sqn Panther scheme looks absolutely
fantastic... I've got a 1/32 one in the works as I write this...
After years of
heartbreak with broken landing gear in endless house moves, I made the
decision to place all of my models in a "flying" pose on a
simple and sturdy stand built with materials from local hardware suppliers
- and I'm extremely happy with the finish.
Happy
modelling from Australia!
