Hello again, here
is another recent build that I completed with the markings for “Madu”,
flown by
CPT
Louis Dumontier, from the 431st Fighter Squadron, 475th Fighter Group,
Lingayen, Luzon, April 1945. This kit was produced in 2003, and I don’t
recall having too many issues while building it. As with many of the WWII
war birds, this one called for a bare natural finish for the fuselage. I
wanted this baby to shine so I used the Model Masters Silver Chrome enamel
paint, and accentuated some of the panels with MM’s steel color. This
was an OOB project and I used the decals included with the kit.

The P-38 is one of my
favorite WWII aircraft and the history of this war bird is truly amazing.
I hope
you enjoy the photos.
