  India Independence Day

The Heller kit belongs to the 80's but it is still a crisp kit. Not much in details in the cockpit or otherwise. Given to me by a friend Phil. The kit decal with 2 options French & Israeli but I choose to make it in the Indian Air Force Colors.

The kit was built mostly OOB all I did was  shorten the front landing gear by 2 mm and added a antenna on the left side  in front of the cockpit made of streched sprue

I painted a base coat of gloss Humbrol black and later Alclad aluminum. Then a freehand mottle camo using olive green mixed with a lil black (used during the 1971 Indo Pak war).

Decals used were bright spark for roundels and fin flash, and nose art Black Archer squadron logo was self made.

I could not find what serial no the aircraft had so left that as is. Only reference pic I could locate was a very grainy picture from website Bharatrakshak.com

Over all a great build.....and a happy Independence Day "Jai Hind"
