Hi all gents,

This is my Hase F-4B wearing the markings of VMFA-115 Silver Eagles based at Chu Lai, South Vietnam in 1968, built for the just finished Phantom Addicts Anonymus GB.

I used a lot of AM including:

  • CAM decals for the squadron markings (the service and national markings came from various source)

  • Eduard prepainted PE

  • Aires exhaust nozzle

  • Airwawes folding wings PE

  • Quickboost resin seats

  • Master Models brass pitot and AOA.

I've scratched various details like the auxiliary engine air doors on the belly, the belly pylon, the IFR probe and other small things that now I don't remember....

I searched for long time for the decals for this unit 'cause this specific bird was shown in a footage that I discovered as a child, at the time when I spent my Saturday afternoon with my dad, in my first step in our hobby.

The aforementioned footage help me a lot for the model weathering.

The model was painted with Gunze acrilic and Alclad II for the metal areas.

I hope you like my model.
