This is a really old model.  It has been sitting on the floor in the hobby home broken and dusty for at least 5 or 6 years. I was getting ready to toss it so I gave it a once over.  It was not built bad.  In fact I did a pretty good job.  But the paint job and Tamiya kit decals left a lot to be desired.

After one of a thousand Canadian model mafia meetings Don G showed me a set of VF-84 old school markings he had.  BANG!!!  Redo it.  I did not have the stencils but thanks to Don G in another mafia meeting I soon had all I needed. AND!!!! a whole additional Tamiya kit!!!  Elmo gave Don a better kit so Don gave me this one.  Happy camper me!!!!!  The new kit will one day either get VF-14 or 41 markings, still tossing which one I like better in the air.

So lesson learned. Yes our skills get better and a touch up is sometimes all you need. This kit went from almost garbage on the floor to the top shelf. THANKS DON G!!!!!
