  Indian Victory Day

The Mil Mi-4 "Hound" was a soviet helicopter that served both military and civilian roles. The first Mi-4 helicopters were inducted in the Indian Air Force in the early 60's just before the Indo-China war. The Mi-4 equipped six Helicopter units and were the mainstay of the medium lift helicopter force till the induction of the Mi-8 in 1971.

Meghna Heli Bridge was an aerial operation of the Indian and Bangladeshi allied forces. It took place on 9th December when the Indian Air Force airlifted the Mukti Bahini & the IV corps of the Indian Army across the river Meghna, bypassing the destroyed Meghna bridge and Pakistani defenses.

The Mil Mi-4 kit was a gift from a friend and part of "Vijay Divas" (Victory Day) of the 71 Indo-Pak war group build at Indian Scale Modellers (FaceBook). Reference picture was from the Bharatrakshak.com were I found this unique scheme.

The kit details were crisp and fit good. I hardly used any filler. The door details were scratch built. other than that it was OOB.

Paints used were Lifecolor and Decals BrightSpark with self printed serial number.

Thanks Vinayak. and Jaihind
