This is a 1/32 Hasegawa Sabre extended wing slightly modified to a Canadair Mk.V First thing was to use a pilot and replacement ejection seat from Aerobonus. Really good products.
The wings were shortened by cutting off the ejections the Japanese Phantoms had. I sealed the slats and added a fence mid way down the wing that the Mk.6 did not have, but the V did. The decals are from an older Sabre kit from Kinetic. I do believe they are really from Leading Edge.

The fit on the kit was not the greatest. I
think the model might be over 40 years old, going from how old the box looked.
The model was painted gold and had
the decals applied for a RCAF Golden Hawks display Sabre, as flown in the late
1950s. The Leading edges are all silver but it for some odd reason does not show
that clearly in the photos.
Really must have been something to see.
