  Poland Independence Day 2004

Spitfire Mk Vb W3506 "Hendon Lamb" of the 303rd Sqn RAF flown by Mieczyslaw Adamek - a Polish ace with 6.75 victories. Adamek opened his score in September 1939, being credited with two shared victories while flying a P-11C with 113 Eskadra. In 1941/42 Adamek flew with the famous Polish 303rd Squadron and added 6 kills to his victory tally, including a FW 190A scored in December while flying the W3506 (his fifth individual victory). He was killed in action in 1944, when his Spitfire IX was shot down over France.

The model is Hasegawa 1/48 Spitfire Mk Vb built out of the box except of the Squadron vac canopy. The camouflage was painted freehand using Model Master II authentics (however the Ocean Grey was lightened with white). The code letters and the roundels were sprayed using custom cut vinyl masks. The serial number and the badges were custom printed on the Tango Papa Decal film using the OKI DP-5000 printer.
