Kit # 6301
This is my 1/32
Grummun F-14A Tomcat of VF-84 of U.S Navy aboard carrier
USS Nimitz. All instructions were in Japanese, but followed the
Drawing. This model was made in 1986, you can note some imperfections as
that time I was Novice at Modeling. All tires are of solid rubber, but
because of the weight on them they are pressed.

The main landing
gear has been given metallic rods inside them to do away with the weight
of the model.

The main beauty of
the model comes to life when the wings are opened, as you know F-14 is a
variable Geometry aircraft.
There are two sets
of exhaust nozzles provided, one open & the other one closed.....I chose the
closed one.
Tamiya paints were
used on it (Spray Cans).
I got two first
prizes one in Islamabad & the other in Karachi thanks to this beautiful
model. This model was also put in a modelling exhibition at P.A.F Faisal
Air Museum.
Decals provided were of three aircrafts one of Imperial Iranian Air Force (IIAF),
one of VF-211,and the other of VF-84. I chose VF-84.
Hope you guys like my model
