I bought this kit a few years ago
as it was on sale in a Beatties store and it sat in the stash until there was a
competition at my local club for Early Jets . I dug this kit out and
thought I'd enter it, I didn't have time for aftermarket so it's completely out
of the box using the kit supplied decals but the detail is very good.
Construction was the usual Tamiya and the kit fell together in a very
short time. I added the pilot and closed the canopy for a change but recently
I've started doing that more often.

The kit was pai nted
using Halfords Aluminium spray paint sealed with Halfords Clear Lacquer.A couple
of panels were highlighted with Tamiya Flat Aluminium. Tamiya paints were
used for the rest of the aircraft with the exception of the zinc chromate which
was Aeromaster. I gave the panel lines a wash of thinned black oil paint
and sealed it with Johnson's Klear (Future) Markings are for 58FBS "Four
Queens" in Taegu, South Korea 1952 from the kit.
This is a very nice kit to build
and well recommended as modelling therapy. I received several appreciative
comments at the club and to my surprise I came first in the competition.
