1/32 Revell-Germany MiG-29 Fulcrum A

"Here I have my newest roll-out for you, itīs a MiG 29 Fulcrum A with the German airforce, which they got from the former peopleīs army (NVA) in East-Germany (DDR) in 1989/90.

They got twenty single seaters and 5 double-seaters (the UBīs).  But now to the kit itself, itīs the only MiG 29 model in this scale, itīs well detailed, except the cockpit, there I used some PE-parts, some PE parts has been used on the rest of the plane, too. Fit was very well, too, except the canopy, but there Iīm going to find a solution to show it open.  Attaching the landing gear is little bit tricky and you have to put enough weight to the nose .

Building itself took a lot of fun and was straight forward, so I now had to choose the way of painting this wonderful-styled bird.  You can choose between 3 versions, one Russian (with shark mouth), one German-standard Norm 90J painting (the grey one) and wonderful coloured anniversary bird.  As you can see, I chose the last one, it shows the anniversary plane of the JG73"Steinhoff", which is now to be the first squadron in Germany, which gets the Eurfighter Typhoon.  The MiG 29īs were sold to Poland for 1,-euro per plane :(.

For the painting, I used Revell, Tamiya and some metalizer colours (Alclad II, Testors etc) and did only a very light weathering, cause these birds were mostly very clean.  The decals are very thin, with a little MrMark softer you can handle them very easy.

So I hope you enjoy the pics of the German 40th anniversary MiG 29, if you have any questions, just feel free to mail me :) .
