This was a fast one
even for me. 2 or three days. Box to shelf. Done. No detail. Next to no
weathering. Just build the thing. Basically its only purpose was to keep me
awake between night shifts. I didn't want anything difficult when my hands get
shaky around 4am (which by the way, is the time I'm submitting this article.)

The model is the
very nice Hasegawa P-51D. I'm told the Tamiya is better , but this guy fell
together just fine OOB. The only add on is the decals. I got these from another
ARCer I meet at the Guelph hobby show earlier this year. (Thanks Don).
The decals were made
by Arrow graphics at least 15 years ago. The plane is from 402 The
City of Winnipeg squadron, back in the days the reserve force actually had some
planes. I told my wife I built it in her honour as she lived there as a kid. I
don't think she cared. She is none to big on the models.
Anywho, Happy Canada
Day.
