1/48 Tamiya Fairey Swordfish

--------------------

The Swordfish has long been a favorite of mine, since I saw "Sink the Bismarck" in the sixties.  I read many articles on ARC, finally found one cheap, including the bracing wire set, and had to have it.  The kit is not what I would call an easy build, especially the wires.  If you do attempt this, make sure you punch out the holes as directed, and get the proper wire in the proper place.

I painted the wings before assembling to the fuselage, the only way you can paint both sides, if you want different colors, as I did. The engine is very nice, as is the cockpit detail.  I painted everything by hand, not easy at age 57...HA!

This kit is pricey, but if you check the online auction sites, you may find a deal like I got, $45, which included the bracing wires and shipping.

Thanks for looking, and thanks to Steve for all his efforts.
