Hello!
This is my 1:48th scale Hasegawa Bf-109G-10 in RAF markings. First off I should
admit that I am inspired by Dear Tolga Ulgur's sharp looking Me109 'white 44' ( http://ozkanturker.brinkster.net/Galeri/me109g10/index.htm)
I had decided to build an entirely RLM 76 Bf-109G-10, but while I was
seeking info on RLM6 painted Gustavs, I found out that Tolga Ulgur's white 44 was
taken to the UK after the war and tested.

So I decided to build that captured White
44 in RAF markings and put it beside my 1:32 Captured He-162 in RAF
colors. After I completed the model with Modelmaster RLM76 in German
markings, I
found some surplus RAF markings from my existing Cutting Edge and Airfix
decal sheets. I applied roundels over Balkankreuzs and British 3
color tail sign over swastikas. Than I washed the plane with raw amber oil
paint. On a picture that I found, engine covers seemed a bit more worn than
rest of plane, so I sprayed
some Tamiya smoke over the panel lines on the fore side of aircraft.
I finished
the plane with Modelmaster matt coat and made the antenna wire from
stretched sprue.
At end of my article, I would like
send my regards to Tolga Ulgur who gave me that idea, my dear friend Thanos from
Greece and my Brother Emad Tabsh from Lebanon!
Happy modelling!
