1/32 F-15C Eglin Gorillas decal sheet

Product Article by Steve Bamford on Dec 23 2003

The Twobobs have been receiving lots of requests for some 1/32nd scale Eagle decals lately.  It's been a while since anyone has come out with a sheet for this aircraft in this scale and they have obliged with a pretty popular one they did in 1/48th.

The 33rd Fighter Wing lost more than a few of their members during the Khobar Towers bombing on 25 June 1996.

Twelve members of their wing were lost the day before they were supposed to rotate back to the states.  Just goes to show that in this day and age, it's just not the deployed "ground pounders" that get themselves in harms way and the 58th FS is one of the most heavily deployed units in the USAF.

This sheet features enough markings for one complete jet with enough options for all three.  The Squadron CO jet is the hi-light of this sheet since it's a three time MiG/Sukhoi Killer.  This jet downed three A/C during Operation Desert Storm.  All three were shot down with the AIM-7M Sparrow.  The first kill was a MiG-23 while the other two were Sukhoi SU-22's.  Capt. Glen Rose and Capt. Anthony Murphy were the pilots responsible for the shoot downs.

Full stencil data for one complete jet in the Mod Eagle colors is included on this sheet.  Something new to do up your Tamiya Eagle with!!  Thanks to Jeff Stoermer for providing the Twobobs with references for this sheet.

The decals are contained on 2 decal sheets and there are some very colourful markings that are very clearly printed on his decal sheet.  I would definitely have to pick the CO three time MiG/Sukhoi Killer jet as my favourite on this sheet....although the other two jets are quite nice as well.  This cecal sheet comes highly recommended for anyone building a 1/32 F-15C.

This sheet is available through http://www.twobobs.net/ and select US Hobby Shops.  Overseas customers can purchase these from Twobobs site or through Twobobs network of overseas distributors.  Remember, shipping is always FREE to US Customers at Twobobs!!
