Here's a new decal sheet for
your next Big Mouth F-16. This sheet includes the markings for
three different Block 40 Vipers from Pope AFB.
During WW2 the 74th
Fighter Squadron served in China after the attack on Pearl Harbor and
the break-up of the AVG Flying Tigers. The 74 Squadron flew P-40's
with Sharks Mouth, as did the AVG Flying Tigers. So these F-16's
with the 74th Fighter Squadron pays respect to their Squadron history by
adorning their F-16's with Sharks Mouths.
This decal sheet features
three F-16 Shark Mouth jets.
The three aircraft on this
decal sheet are fairly similar with slight variations in markings.
These include the band at the top of the tail. The 2 seater with
the 23 Wing has a Tigers Head (?) on the side of the upper fuselage
behind the canopy.
One unique feature of
special interest on the Block 40 F-16 is the "scab" plate on
the top of the fuselage. Eduard
has a photo etch set that includes this plate.
