This new decal sheet from Cutting Edge Modelworks includes markings for two different 1/48 A-26 Invader's.

The first aircraft is a A-26B-51-DL with the 3rd BW / 13 BS flown by Capt. Tony Curto.  This is plane #44-34287.  The paint scheme is black overall with red stripes on the tips of the horizontal and vertical tail surfaces.  Plane ID #'s on the tail and rear fuselage are in red as well as a big white "A" on the tail.   The artwork on the nose is a full bodied curvy topless blonde with a classic 1940's hairstyle in a laying down position.  Next to this artwork are the words "Versatile Lady".  The artwork for this aircraft has a white decal to go underneath the noseart decal.

The second aircraft is a A-26C-45-DT with the 452nd BW / 728 BS flown by Lt. Dennis Boyle.  This is plane #44-35767.  The paint scheme is aluminum paint overall with red stripes on the tips of the horizontal and vertical tail

surfaces.  Plane ID #'s on the tail and rear fuselage are in black.   The artwork on the nose is a slim  naked brunette with in the seating position with her breasts fully exposed.  Next to this artwork are the words "Neva Hoppen".  The artwork for this aircraft has a white decal to go underneath the noseart decal.

The noseart decals are delicate and two are included for each plane in case you mess up the first ones.  Exacting instructions are included on how to prepare and install these decals…..read these instructions carefully to avoid disaster.  Apparently these noseart decals are very thin and need special care, but once installed they will look very accurate and realistic.  The nose art decals are printed on a one piece decal sheet, so you’ll need to cut the decal free from the rest of the decal film…..patience is the key here.  The noseart decal is beautifully printed with fantastic detail and lovely shading.

The instructions are clear and include 2 views of each aircraft and an extra page of text instructions  with helpful tips for decal application.

A very nice decal sheet and  sure to please the lucky 300 people that manage to buy one of these limited edition sheets.
