This new decal sheet from Impact Decals includes markings for 3 different 1/48 F-4J Phantom's that flew with the VMFA-451 Warlords.

The first aircraft is a F-4J BuNo 153821 with VMFA-451 Warlords stationed at MCAS Beaufirt, South Carolina in September 1978.  The paint scheme for this aircraft is Gray on top, white on the underside with a white radome and Light Gray walkways.  The rudder has blue and white artwork with white stars and there is a vertical blue stripe with white stars on the fuselage side.

The second aircraft is a F-4J BuNo 153840 with VMFA-451 Warlords stationed at MCAS Beaufirt, South Carolina.  The paint scheme for this aircraft is Gray on top, white on the underside with a white radome and Dark Gray walkways.  The rudder has battle Mace artwork  and there is a vertical blue stripe with white stars on the fuselage side.

The third aircraft is a F-4J BuNo 153821 with VMFA-451 Warlords stationed at MCAS Beaufirt, South Carolina in September 1979.  The paint scheme for this aircraft is Gray on top, white on the underside with a white radome and Light Gray walkways.  The rudder has blue and white artwork with white stars and there is a vertical blue stripe with white stars on the fuselage side.

The instructions are clear and include 1 views of each aircraft as well as generic top and bottom views of these aircraft as well as text information to assist in the painting and decaling process.  The decals are beautifully printed on 2 decal sheets.  Two complete set of stencils is included on this decal sheet.  Walkways are provided as decals, so you have the option to use the decals provided or mask and paint the walkways.

It's good to see some decals for the VMFA-451 Warlords F-4J's and this decal sheet captures 3 of their jets from the late's 70's.  I love the Mace artwork on the tail of one of these Phantoms.
