This new release from
Twobobs
celebrates the Centennial of Naval Aviation with heritage markings for two
F/A-18C aircraft from the Fighting Eagles of VFA-122 and the Fighting Omars of
VFC-12. Full set of markings for both aircraft are included on this sheet.
Each of the Twobobs
Centennial products feature a 3" pressure sensitive sticker of the official
logo of the Centennial of Naval Aviation, which is perfect for a diorama base
for your model.
Twobobs has worked
directly with the US Navy as a licensed provider of decal markings to celebrate
this historic event and was the first decal manufacturer to receive a licensing
agreement with the US Navy!
The aircraft include
the following:
-

2011. The paint scheme is Dark blue on top, medium blue on the
sides and gray on the underside with the
classic national insignia from late WW2. The rudders are medium blue
and white squares.

on 1 decal sheet and 1 insert decal sheet. Paint codes are called out in FS #'s, Testors MM,
Humbrol, Gunze Sangyo and Xtracrylics. You get big red stars that you can
apply to your intake and exhaust covers on the second jet on this decal sheet,
should you decide to use intake and exhaust covers.
I'm a big fan of the US fighters
that fought so hard to secure a victory in the Pacific during WW2 and this Centennial of Naval Aviation
sheet captures 2 F/A-18C Hornets in the classic paint schemes that were used in
the Pacific during WW2. It is very cool to see decals being released for
both of these jets.
I would like to thank Twobobs
for this review sample.
This sheet is available through
the Twobobs
website and select US Hobby Shops. Overseas customers can purchase these from
Twobobs site or through Twobobs network of overseas distributors.
