Yufei Mao is here today with his 1/48 Trumpeter MiG-19S J-6 "PLANAF Phantom Killer" Part 2 Building the model. This is the 2nd in his 3 part series and today he shows how he fixed shape and accuracy issues on his MiG-19 before completing his model.  This is a great looking model and you will enjoy reading how Yufei fixed the accuracy issues on his MiG. 

Joe Dillman is here with his exceptionally well done 1/48 Hasegawa F4U-7 French Corsair.  Joe fixed some accuracy issues on his Corsair before giving it a flawless finish and French markings.  I love the look of this colorful Corsair........well done Joe.

Victor De Jesus is here with his beautifully finished 1/32 Hasegawa F-104G Starfighter.  Victor dressed up the cockpit with a cockpit set from True Details and chose the attractive Luftwaffe markings complete with that very attractive camo worn by the German Starfighters.  The finished model came out looking fantastic.

  Vanuatu Independence Day 

This weeks Twobobs Newsletter is up.  Bob is gearing up for meeting everyone at this years USA Nats.  This newsletter includes  new images of the OPFOR Super Pack and the F-16C Blizzard Bad Guys sheets that will debut at the Nats.  This years NATS is shaping up to be a great show and Bob has some very exciting new products ready for the show.

Yufei Mao is here with the first in his 1/48 Trumpeter MiG-19S J-6 "PLANAF Phantom Killer" Part 1 Meeting the pilot.  Today's article focuses on the Chinese pilot that shot down an F-4 Phantom in 1967.  Yufei has included photos of many private items from the shoot down.  The next 2 parts of his article will focus on the model he built of this Chinese pilot's jet.

Gianni Chirico added some amazing detail to the cockpit of his 1/72 Hasegawa Dewoitine D.520....remember this is 1/72.....there is some amazing detail in the cockpit.  Gianni finished his Dewoitine D.520 with a first class camo and weathering job....it is impressive how realistic this model looks.

Andy Sensi has done a spectacular job on his big 1/32 Revell F-15E.  Andy used Legend resin seats and instrument panels with ELTA pod from Paragon.  His Eagle was given a eye catching camo scheme and finished with Afterburner decals.  This F-15E is a treat for the eyes....enjoy the photos.

  Peru Independence Day 

Giuseppe Santaromita is here to honor the Peruvian Independence day with his very well done 1/48 Revell Monogram Sukhoi Su-25A.  Giuseppe chose a camo scheme from the '90's and dressed that up with some fantastic Tiger noseart.  Have a very happy holiday Giuseppe.

Giuseppe Santaromita is also here today with his very attractive 1/72 Heller Mirage 2000.  This is a great looking model and Giuseppe has also included 2 other models in different scale that are almost identical to this one.  Beautifully done Giuseppe.

Craig Sargent has pulled out all the stops in building his 1/72 Hasegawa F-16A Netz, IDF/AF Operation Opera, 7 June 1981.  This is the jet flown by Col Ramon in the mission to disable the Iraqi nuclear reactor.  Col Ramon is also the first Israeli Astronaut and perished with the rest of the crew when the space shuttle Columbia crashed on re-entry.  Craig modified his model and then added plenty of aftermarket items to get his F-16 looking very accurate and the finished model is a treat for the eyes. 

K Diamond is here with a kit most of us remember so well.  This is his 1/48 Monogram UH-1C built as a in-flight model in a very aggressive pose as you may have seen when this chopper was in operational service.  Very nicely done Keith. 

Gianni Chirico joins us from sunny Sicily with his very well done 1/72 Heller Messerschmitt Me.163 B-1a Komet.  Gianni rescribed the panel lines and dressed up the cockpit to turn this into a truly exceptional looking Komet.  Very nicely done Gianni.

  Liberia Independence Day

S K Loh is here with 2 exceptionally nice 1/144 F-4E Phantom and F-15C Eagle.  The F-15 is a US jet and the Phantom is a South Korean bird on a joint exercise.  The article contains the full story behind this build as well as the work involved to create this 2 fantastic looking jets.

Viktor Kucera has been very busy building his 1/32 Revell Junkers Ju-88 A-11 using the L’Arsenal A-4 conversion.  This is a massive conversion set and Viktor also used details items from Master and Aires and other companies to complete this very impressive desert bomber.  And is is all finished with full weathering and a very complicated and attractive camo scheme.

Kees Kuyper is here today to make you smile with his article about NESA on the Moon. NESA is the NEtherlands Space Agency and this is how their lunar space station looks in 2025.  Read his article for the full details along with all his great photos.  I love seeing these article from Kees.

Carl Reinisch is here to make you grin with his RCMP Pursuit and Intercept F-18 Eggplane.  This is a Royal Canadian Mount Police F-18 all ready to patrol the highways of Canada.  Pretty funny stuff Carl and very well done....I look forward to seeing your next Eggplane.  I grinned quite a bit when I saw the photos of this one.

Michal Sekula has done a beautiful job building and weathering his 1/48 Eduard Yakovlev Yak-3.  The camo and markings are for a famous Soviet pilot during WW2.  I really like the look of this Yak-3 and Michal's article contains some very helpful information and references.

Arthur Filippis has done a stunning job on his 1/48 Eduard Electric Lightning.  The flawless bare metal finish is done using Alclad II and the RSAF markings look quite attractive on this Lightning.  The photos are a treat for the eyes.

K Diamond is here with a very cool What if.  This is his 1/48 Academy F-15A in the paint and markings from the Vietnam era complete with the appropriate weapons for that time period.  Keith build some very cool What if aircraft.

Prokopis Kroustallis is here with his first article on ARC.  This very well done 1/72 Italeri AH-1W Super Cobra is built out of the box and sports a very attractive camo scheme.  Welcome to ARC Prokopis and I hope to see more of your models on ARC in the future.  Your Super Cobra looks excellent.

Lukasz Studniarz has done a stunning job  on his 1/48 HobbyBoss Me-262 A1a/U3.  Lukasz  added a resin engine from Quickboost and then built the rest of the model OOB with some very effective post shading for weathering.  The finished model looks first rate.

  Egypt National Day

Paolo Yuen is here with his exceptionally well done 1/144 Trumpeter Strike Flanker Su-34.  When I saw the photos I was stunned to see it was 1/144 scale.  His model is loaded with a full weapons load and features a great looking camo and full weathering.

Olivier Barles joins us with his stunning 1/32 Tamiya Mitsubishi A6M-5 "Zero" and it is wearing one of the coolest paint jobs I've seen on a Zero.  Check it one....I know you will be impressed and his article includes plenty of fascinating info about his whole build and weathering etc.

Shawn "phantom" Weiler has made my day by sending pics of his 1/48 Hasegawa F-4J Phantom #152.  Shawn built this one for the GHOST TOWN group build here on ARC.  I love the look of this hi-viz Phantom and Shawn did a flawless job on it.....it looks fantastic.

  Colombia Independence Day 

  USA Moon Landing  - First Human on the Moon  (1969) 

Charles Poon is here with a classis Russian jet.  This is his beautifully finished 1/48 HobbyBoss Yak-38U Forger B.  Charles gave his Yak-38 a full weathering job that adds a wonderful level of realism.  This is a great looking Yak-38.

George Harrison is here with an awesome display of his 1/48 Monogram P-40B.  I think we have all built this Fly Tiger P-40 at one time in our life, but George took it to a new level of excellence with his stunning Tribute display base for the commander of the AVG (American Volunteer Group) Claire Chennault.  Wow I love the look of this display.

Ed Kinney has done a stunning job on his bare metal 1/32 Fisher Cutlass.  Ed used a Alclad ll for the seven shades baremetal finishes and finished off this masterpiece with custom decals from Red Pegasus Decals.  This is one stunning model of the Cutlass.

Chris Causey is here with a wonderful selection of his 1/48 WWII Bombers and fighters.  Each has a connection to the state of Florida and the work on each of them is first rate.  You will enjoy reading the story behind each of these models as well as seeing the artwork that graced each of them.  Beautiful work Chris.

Waldemar Pupar has done a gorgeous job finishing and weathering his  1/72 Zvezda Su-50 (T-50).   I love the camo Waldemar  chose for his Su-50.  WOW!!!

Ronald Beelen has done an awesome job on his 1/48 Eduard P39N Airacobra.  Ronald built his P-39 OOB with some weathering for a final touch.  The P-39 was a radical little fighter and Ronald did a top notch job on his.

Bernard LAPEYRIE has done an exceptionally fine job on his 1/48 Testors Lockheed A-12.  Bernard used his high level of skill, to turn this into a very cool looking A-12. 

Victor De Jesus is here with his stunning 1/48 Revell B-25J Mitchell.  Victor detailed some detail to the interior and then did a first class on the weathering.  I know you'll enjoy the photo of his B-25....wow...I love it.

Andy Mimizu has done some impressive scratchbuilding and kit bashing to create his 1/72 Focke-Wulf Super TL (conversion).  This is an Luftwaffe design from very late in WW2.

 France National Day

Viktor Kucera is here with another of his masterpieces using the 1/32 Revell Junkers Ju-88 G-6 kit.  This model uses an AIMS conversion set as well as other goodies such as radar antennas from Master and combines all this together with one of the most difficult camo schemes from WW2.  If you look carefully you will notice one of the engines was changed as is indicated by the different camo paint on the engine cowling.  Amazing work Viktor. 

Anjelique Acosta is is a junior modeler and today she is here with her beautifully done 1/72 Revell Snap-tight F-117.  Her model was the focal point of her science fair project on stealth and I'm sure her F-117 impressed everyone that saw it.  I think it look fantastic and I am excited to see more of her models on ARC in the future.  Welcome to ARC Anjelique.

Gianni Chirico joins us from sunny Sicily with his 1/72 Eastern Express Sopwith 7F.1 Snipe.  Gianni dressed up the detail in the cockpit and tail and finished his Snipe in the classic colours from the time period.  Sadly we don't get to see many bi-planes on ARC and it is a special treat to see Gianni's Snipe.

 Sao Tome and Principe Independence Day 

ARC Auto was updated today....drop by and check it out.  Show everyone your models on these sites.

Lee, Seok Joo has done a truly exceptional job on his 1/32 Special Hobby X-15A-2.  This X-15 model includes a very detailed trolley and is painted with many different shades of weathering.  Wow...I know you'll enjoy seeing the pictures of this one.

Terry Davis has hit a homerun with his very creative and historical 1/48 Tamiya/Hobby Craft "World's Smallest Airport".  This project involved quite a bit of scratchbuilding and creative modeling to pull it all together, but this was not a problem for a modeler like Terry.  I really got a kick out of seeing photos of the of this model.

K Diamond does not shy away from a challenge and his 1/48 Revell F-15A is proof of this.  Keith did did quite a bit of kit bashing mixed with other works (rescribing panel lines etc) to turn the old Revel Eagle into an up to date high quality model.  I love the look of the finished model.

 Mongolia National Celebration Day 

Matt Sherwood gets things fired up today with his Egg Aardvark.  This is the Hasegawa Egg F-4E that Matt converted to the F-4J and then finished it in markings for VF-114 Aardvarks.  Matt posed his Egg plane in-flight with a custom made base that includes an actually VF-114 patch.

Mark L. Rossmann is here with 2 very interesting models of the 1/48 Tamiya Ki-46 – B-29 Hunter.  These were specially converted “Dinahs” for the role of trying to intercept the high altitude B-29 bombers.  Mark tells the fascinating history of these aircraft and then goes on to explain what was involved to make a "Dinah" interceptor.  He has also included photos of his recon Dinah.  Very nicely done Mark.

Mario Serelle joins us from  Brazil with his flawless looking 1/72 Hobbyboss Dassault Rafale B.  Mario dressed up the cockpit with some photo etch seatbelts and then tidied up the intakes with some additional plastic.  His Rafale is finished in French markings with just the perfect amount of weathering.  Beautiful work Mario.

Invasion of Sicily - Allied Landings at Sicily in 1943

Artur Oslizlo has done an exceptional job on his 1/48 Special Hobby T-2C Buckeye.  Artur gave his Buckeye a flawless weathered camo job and finished it off in Hellenic Air Force markings.  This is a beautifully done T-2C trainer.

Aaron has done a first class job on his 1/48 Hobby Boss F6F-3 Hellcat.  Aaron built his Hellcat out of the box, but it was his painting and weathering that really gives his Hellcat a fantastic finished look.  Aaron likes the Hobby Boss hellcat very much and as you will see in his photos....it does build into a great looking model. 

Ronald Beelen has done a gorgeous job finishing and weathering his   1/48 Eduard Mig 21bis D.  Ronald used Promodellers line of weathering products to give his Croatian Air Force MiG the perfect look of realism....and the results are excellent.

 Argentina Independence Day 

This weeks Twobobs Newsletter is up.  Bob has the first images online of the 32nd scale Blizzard Viper sheet. You'll be able to get the hook up on these at the IPMS convention.  Bob also has news on the soon to be released Kinetic T-45 kit.  I'm quite excited to see this kit be released.

Chris Causey lives in the sunshine state and he joins us today with four 1/48 WWII Fighters with a connection to Florida.  Chris has included 3 bare metal Mustangs and one bare metal P-47 and all of them have flawless bare metal finishes.

Gunawan Tjandra joins us from Indonesia with his first article on ARC.  This very attractive 1/72 Hobby Boss Su-47 Berkut is finished in an eye popping fictional scheme.  I had a close look at this model from every angle and it looks fantastic.  Welcome to ARC Gunawan....I love seeing your model on ARC....keep up the great work and your models are always welcome on ARC.

Cüneyt ÖZEN has done an exceptionally fine job on his 1/32 Revell Ju-52 m TC-RUH Turkish Airliner.  It's very cool to see a Tante Ju finished off in Turkish markings.

David Rapasi starts today with his very impressive 1/48 Academy P47 D Thunderbolt.  This is a "Jug" from the final stages of the War in Europe and includes a bomb load and a full an very skillful weathering job that Dave is world famous for.

Gianni Chirico joins us from sunny Sicily with 1/72 Revell De Havilland DH.100 FB.5 Vampire.  This is the older Heller kit, so Gianni added cockpit detailing and re-scribed the panel lines and then gave his Vampire a stunning cam job with full weathering and some custom painted markings.

Viktor Kucera has done a massive amount of detailing on his 1/32 Revell Junkers Ju-188 E-1.  This is a big kit and Victor used a combination of scratchbuilding and aftermarket parts to turn his J-188 into a fantastic model of this epic Luftwaffe bomber.  Viktor finished it off with a great looking camo scheme and flawless weathering.  His article explains is helpful detail all the effort he put into this beauty.

Graham Symmonds has been quite busy modifying and scratchbuilding various areas of his AMT Shuttlecraft “NCC-1701/4 - Carrillo” – or a portion thereof!  This is an older kit with accuracy and detail issues, but Graham stepped up to the plate in a big way and created a truly wonderful model including the hanger deck of the shuttle from the Star Trek TOS. 

Aaron has done an exceptionally fine job finishing his 1/72 Dragon Su-24C Fencer.  Aaron has captured the mid '90's look of a Russian Air Force Su-24 perfectly.  Aaron used a combination of pre & post shading and other techniques with great success to create this stunning model.  Read his article for the full story. 

Olivier Barles has been busy getting everything look great on his 1/32 Special Hobby Mitsubishi A5M-2 "Claude".  Olivier did extra work while adding the wings to get his model looking correct.  Also check out the custom made flag on the antenna mast, Olivier explains this in his article.

 United States of America Independence Day 

Happy July 4th to all the Americans....at home and abroad.  Have a great 4th everyone!!!

K Diamond is here to honor the fourth with his 1/48 Fujimi F-14A.  Keith dressed up the cockpit with a resin True Details cockpit and rescribed some of the panel lines and then finished off his Tomcat in the markings of  VF-33 Starfighters.  It's a sharp looking Tomcat Keith.

Lee, Seok Joo has done an exception job on the 1/32 Special Hobby P-39D Airacobra.  Seok Joo added extra scrathbuilt details to a variety of areas on his fighter and then added further detail with Eduard’s Big-Ed photo etch set.  The stunning decals are from Zotz Decals.

Mark Doherty is here with a classic American jet to mark this special day.  This is Mark's big 1/32 Tamiya F4J Phantom with added details from an Eduard cockpit, Aires afterburner cans, CAM decals, and Quickboost ejector seats and FOD covers.  Mark used a very smart technique for accenting his panel lines and rivet detail and then finished it off with some famous MiG-killer markings.

Angelo M Picardo has done a high amount of extra detailing to his 1/32 Revell F4U Corsair.  Angelo rescribed the raised panel lines and then added a Verlinden  cockpit, resin engine from Teknics plus aftermarket undercarriage bays and flaps.  Eduard's etch set provided the cowl flaps, and also provided detail for the the wing root intakes.  Then Angelo gave his big Corsair the full weathering job....beautifully done Angelo.  

Aaron joins us from down under with his stunning 1/48 Academy Sukhoi Su-27B Flanker.  Aaron wanted to create a Flanker from the '90's in one of those very attractive blue camo schemes.  Aaron dressed up the cockpit with a resin seat and added a fine brass pitot tube and then finished it all off with markings from Hi Decal.  check out the paint job.....the different shading effects look quite realistic.

Konley Kelley joins us today with something very special.  This is his a B-24A Liberator 'Diamond Lil' in 3D.  This is the same Liberator flown by the CAF (which Konley is a member of)....he's included some great photos of his 3D model as well as the real aircraft flown by the CAF including the B-29 FIFI.

Here's a product article for the 1/48 F-16A/C/D Press to Test Vipers decal sheet from Twobobs Aviation Graphics.  This decal sheet features F-16's used in Test programs.  The ACAT Auto-Collision test aircraft as well as two of the AFFTC photo/safety chase aircraft are represented on this sheet. The F-16D is a Block 50 jet while the orange/white aircraft are single seat, Block 15OCU and Block 25 aircraft.

Dmitriy Shapiro is here with his brightly coloured  1/144 Revell RCAF 20th Anniversary CF-18A Hornet.  Yup....this is a 1/144 model in the coolest CAF Tiger schemes ever used. 


Franck Oudin is here to honour Canada Day with his 1/48 Hasegawa Hurricane done up in markings for a Canadian Ace.  Franck's Hurricane is finished in decals produced by  IPMS - Canada a number of years ago.  Nice one Franck.
