1/48 ICM Spitfire IX & XVI

Bonjour from Normandy, France.
Spitfire from ICM almost OOB.  All the parts for the canopies are thermoformed. (The frames on the sides of the original windshield are too wide). Braking lines added to the landing gear. Elevators cut and fixed in a rest position.

Decals are surplus from the Occidental kit. (quite thick)
Mk  XVI is a well-known aircraft of the Central Gunnery School.
Mk IX is an aircraft of the Free French Squadron "Alsace" late in the war.

The ICM kit is the most accurate for a Spitfire IX or XVI.  It is easy to build, if you forget the engine.
