 Syria Independence Day

Continuing my “Syrian Air Force” build, here is the Sukhoi 7 dressed in the Ramadan war camouflage pattern. These planes saw considerable action over the Golan.

The SU-7 kit used was the Master Craft Hobby kit. There were major fit problems and the guns at the wing root were the first victims to the sanding, with the intention of rebuilding them, but I only just remembered after taking the photos. It was built OOB except for the KS-3/4 ejection seat. For painting, I used Model Master Acrylic US Army/Marines Gulf War 4812 for the dull tan color, Tamiya Light Blue XF-23 for the underside and Tamiya Olive Green XF-58. This was followed by a coat of Future then used Hi Decal HD72042 decals coated with MicroSol. I decided to skip on the stencils as they seem to be an overkill at this scale. The model was then sealed with Model Master Acrylic Flat Clear coat.

Hope you enjoyed this and stay tuned for more to come!!
