Here is my 143rd Phantom. This is actually my first ever Revell molded version of my favorite plane in 1/48th. Not a bad kit at all and it certainly costs less then my usual Hasegawa which is becoming harder to find now that there are no hobby stores around here anymore. This was a really old box, from 1985. Too bad it had no decals the box option looked like something I would have built.

The build itself was not bad, intakes are problematic, but then again so are the Hasegawa ones.  Its raised panel lines, but nice raised panel lines, canopy does not fit very well but the black around the canopy kind of hides that fact.

The decals used are older then the model was, 1981 Detail and Scale decals which needed 2 months of sun bleaching before use. Surprisingly they did not require any decal saving solution and worked perfectly on the first attempt. The squadron modeled is the 57th Fighter squadron which was based in Iceland back in the 70s.
