Some deals at hobby shows are too good to pass up. Some one was selling the Dragon 1/32 scale P-51 for a reasonable price. Well it was the end of the day, I was down to a Looney a Twoney and a fiver and thought "What the heck". I offered the guy the pittance I had and he took it.
Wonderful deal.

The kit itself......Well its no Tamiya but its not bad, especially for the price I paid. The landing gear is weak and the rivets a little over done but it looks like a Mustang when done. The Leading Edge decals really add the colour to the build. I liked the decals so much I just ordered another sheet but in 1/48 scale.

The colour scheme chosen was for 424 (F) squadron when it was based at the Hamilton airport back in the day. Seemed a logical choice as that is where I bought the model. Now-a-days they fly Griffen helicopters out of CFB Trenton in a search and rescue mission.
