Here’s
the Christmas present I made for my dad this year. I picked up an old vac-formed
Tutor kit from a local hobby shop, worked some magic on it, and hit a home-run
with the end result!

I
found the Astra Models Tutor, which actually built up waaaay nice than that
piece of Hobbledcraft junk. The plastic was precariously thin in spots, but
worked out nicely. Given my timeframe I opted to do gear-up, and chose to mount
it with the #2 Flying School crest, from Moose Jaw, Sask.
I lived in Moose Jaw as a kid, where
the CT-114 Tutor was an all-too common sight. My love for aircraft and model
building got started thanks to that darned plane!
