Hey guys this is my Monogram F-105D.  A really nice clip with the typical Revell/Monogram 70's 80's quality.  Raised panel lines, but it's okay.

Decals are a mix from the original kit decals (which were very dried out and likely to shatter) and the Revell Wild Weasel Thud kit for the stencils.  I also added an ALQ-87 ECM Pod on the right pylon and a Mk, 83 fuse extended bomb on the left.

Most detailing was made in the cockpit by completely rebuilding the ejection seat by using parts from the original seat and various scratchbuilt details like the backplate of the seat, the whole upper side of the seat and scratchbuild belts and oxy hoses.

Painting was made with mixed Revell colors and Model Master Metalizer for the engine and the landing gear.  I wanted a dirty, used look for this warhorse.  I sprayed parts of the jet in aluminium and masked them before applying the SEA camo.  After drying I just peeled off the masking, and I had the look of peeled off paint.

Hope you like the pictures.
