  Malaysia National Day

The Wessex a versatile British chopper that was deployed to Malaysia in the sixties as part of the RAF out reach program to assist Malaysia during the Malayan confrontation with Indonesia.

This model is modeled based on the choppers which served in Malaysia during that period. They were based in the East Malaysian region supporting troops and counter insurgency activities as part of the collation forces. The kit used is a relatively new offering by Italeri and its a good kit. The only issue faced was to line up the windscreen portion and the rotor housing roof.

Overall it took me two months to finish the kit and the diorama as I wanted to make this in a action based. The figures used was a compilation of from the spare box and Verlinden German WWII figures.

Hope it meets with the kind approval of the ARC readership and once again thanks to Steve Bamford for his tireless effort in maintaining such a wonderful site

Happy MERDEKA !
