1/48 Eduard Mirage IIIC

Gallery Article by Bernard Lapeyrie on Aug 19 2014

Salut ! I made this MIRAGE IIIC as a tribute to a speed record by Jacqueline AURIOL. She used this Mirage to go up to 1850,2 km/h on 06/22/1962 on a 100km closed circuit. See the 2 shots from a vintage video. I made a female pilot from the EDUARD figurine, who is to look like Mrs AURIOL (well... not so much actually).

I used a pitot tube from Master Model, a resin set by SBS, and a few home made decals. No weathering on this one because the plane was used fresh from the factory.

This kit was also used as a guide for rescribing an old HELLER MIRAGE IIIB.

Thank you Steve for keeping this site open that allow everyone to post galleries!
