1/32 Hasegawa F-5E with Verlinden Cockpit Set

The F-5E was the main stay of the Royal Malaysian Air Force's air deference from the seventys to the late eighties. A total of two flying squadrons were formed namely 11 and 12 Squadron based in Butterworth, Malaysia.

This aircraft depicts the blue aggressor camo scheme of the officer commanding No 11 sqn (M29-14). It is depicted as then the squadron commander's aircraft Mej (U) Chandra Mohan who is a family friend of mine.

The kit is the famous Hasegawa offering. I re scribed the lines and use the Verlinden cockpit set. Finishing was done with Model Master and Gunze paints. The decals are a mix batch taken from various sources and the name of the pilot was custom printed by me.

Overall a pleasing and enjoying build.

Happy MERDEKA!
