1/48 Hasegawa Kawasaki Ki-100I Koh

The Kawasaki Ki-100 was the evolution of the Ki-61 that resulted from the adoption of the Mitsubishi Ha-112 radial engine. This led to one of the best Japanese fighters. The "Koh" version had almost the same "razorback" design as the Ki-61 series.

The kit, dated in 1996, is really nice, with a well detailed cockpit, while transparencies bits are almost crystal clear.

I wanted a model with some chipped effects, so I gave a primer with Revell Aqua Color Silver. I used Maskol (for my very first time) to get the chipping.

I made my "own version" of the Kawasaki green, mixing Tamiya XF-70, Revell Olive Green, and brown... I hope that this to be not too far from the real color..

You can take a look of the building process at https://www.scalemates.com/profiles/mate.php?id=15541&p=projects&project=11613.

My best regards,

Gustavo Antonelli
