Ok...I
like the way this one turned out. A Czech Model T-33 done up as a Canadiar built
CT-133 Silver Star. The ejection seat test bird which was used at CFB Cold Lake
from at least 1960 till 1995. This airframe (133505) rarely if ever left Cold
Lake. As you can see its rear canopy was cut away to allow the ejection seat to
depart the airframe without needing a new canopy for every test.

The
decals are simple stripes from the spare bin, the rest are kit for the
maintenance markings and Belcher Bits for the Canadian specific airframe
markings.
The pilots are on
loan from a 1/32 Tamiys F-4 kit. To make the ejecting dude look right I had to
shave off his bum to make him sit lower in the seat. I had to cut his legs and
lengthen them as they were just to short looking at first. Then I un-bent the
poor dudes arms as the "Gs" pushed them straight as he left the plane.
Then a cotton ball painted with Tamiya smoke for the right effect.
