Bell UH-1H Huey El Salvador Air Force

This is the 1/48 scale Italeri UH-1D kit converted to a UH-1H from El Salvador Air Force during the early 1980s period when the country was at war. I used some aftermarket sets to detail up this model, some of them are CMK UH-1D interior set, Eduard photoetch set and mask.

I added some scratch work in the interior with full scratch pilot armoured seats, all new cabin roof and transmission walls made with styrene sheet.

The M23 gun subsystem mount was made from scratch and the M60 machine guns were borrowed from the Minicraft UH-60 Blackhawk kit.

The main rotor head and mast was detailed and almost made from scratch including stab bar, pitch tubes, swashplate, scissors, etc. All made from styrene and plastic rod.

The model was painted with Testors Model Master acrylic paints.

The main exterior color is U.S. Army Helo Drab CARC Aircraft Green FS34031, for the interior the main color for the cockpit is Aircraft Interior Black FS37031 and Dark Gull Gray FS36231 for the cabin area.

Exterior markings like the noseart and tail numbers were made using home made masking.

Hope you all like it.

Greetings from El Salvador!
