This is one of Hobby-Craft's better offerings. By no stretch is it Tamiya quality, but it looks like a Caribou when built. The cockpit is garbage and the landing gear a joke. BUT the decals are top notch and Hobby-Craft did a couple neat things with this one. My favourite is the webbing decals for the interior. Red webbing is supplied to go behind the clear parts. Then a black decal which give an allusion of depth that actually looks pretty good. Would not work at all if you opened the back door and showed the interior. But closed its pretty nice.

The Caribou I built here is the 1964 version as the RCAF dispatched a few Caribou to United Nations duties overseas. The kit instructions have you painting the wings silver. Which is correct for a 1963 airframe. I built the kit that way myself some 20 years ago. I gave the guy for whom I built this model the option of the two years. I feel he chose wisely as I too prefer the all white look.
