Silly Week 2018

Fokkers D-23 prototype was destroyed in a German bombing of Schiphol 1940.  But the war in the the Netherlands East Indies colony (now Indonesia) came a year later so the Dutch government ordered an also twin tail variant of the Bell Aeracobra in the U.S.A., but also this plane came too late for the war.

The prototype was painted by Humbrol in the Fokker D-23 colours.  The scale of the model is 1 :72 (Hobbyboss kit), and the decals are the Dutch Decals of those days.

The twin tail came from a Revell Vampire kit., and the propeller is a cut-down Mustang prop.

Greetings from M.A.D.
