The Enterprise. What more can be said? This is the Polar Lights refit version of the kit. Add ons are the Astec decals, also from Polar Lights and a light set which includes some 100 plus lights that I had to solder into position and wire together. THAT was the hard part of this kit. There is SO much wire shoved in there the weight difference between this and my previous refit Enterprise is substantial. In fact the secondary hull is around 5mm thicker then it should be so I could have enough room for all the wiring.

A couple of the lights ended up not working. No idea why. But really 4 lights out of well over a hundred is nothing to loose sleep over. This sucker is BRIGHT when turned on and the room lights are off. Just make sure you paint the inside black, then white so lights do not bleed through. I learned that lesson years ago and fortunately the process worked well this time. Something different, I have a shuttle coming out of the stern from the nice kit supplied shuttle bay and a pod attached to the port secondary hull, dropping off some high priced folks.

The refit Enterprise (NCC-1701 no A) is being given to a friend at work who is an even bigger Star Trek fan than me.
