Texan T-6G Venezuelan Air
Force
During 1941 and
until 1945, the Venezuelan Military Aviation (AMV) received 20 Texan AT-6C and
AT-6D aircraft, in addition to using it as training aircraft, many were armed
with machine guns and small bombs, to patrol and protect the Venezuelan coasts.
At the end of 1946, 12 Texan T-6G were received, which were piloted by
Venezuelans from Los Angeles, California to Boca de Rio Air Base in Maracay,
Venezuela. The last T-6G ended their operational life in 1972.

For the
construction of the Texan T-6G, number E-84, I used the Italeri model: T-6G
Texan, in 1:48 scale. Some scratch building was necessary to do some
details. The paint used is acrylic from Model Master (Testor) applied with an
airbrush; decals were home made.
