1/72 ATR 42-300-Vacuform

This is a Broplan vacuum formed 1/72 ATR kit, it started out as an Alitalia ATR 72-500 but I shortened the fuselage changed the engine nacelles and props. I also added an interior (not that it will ever be seen) and applied my own markings in the colors of my (previous) employer. The kit is fairly crude and I didn't correct everything as it had to be finished sometime. I made my own landing gear sponson and engines from silicon/resin castings and main wheels are re-casts from spare parts from another kit.

The graphics are painted on and the registration is old Letraset dry rub down letters.  All paints are Tamiya acrylics.

I bought 2 kits when I purchased this one having never before built a vac kit, I wanted some spares if I made any mistakes. I did do that but not enough to warrant cutting up the second kit for parts. So, I built it as well.

A great learning experience.
