Canadair CL.13 (F-86F) Sabre RCAF 410 Sq. (1952)

This will be a brief write-up, as this is the second CL.13 article and built in a row that I’ve submitted to ARC. I purchased two of the Italeri kits when they were on sale, largely because of their detail for the money and great looking decals, one of which is the one used with this model.

I’ll not restate what I wrote in my last article about how I built this model; you, gentle reader, can access the Gallery as you desire. I’ll only add that I used Bare Metal Foil sparingly, to accent some panels, as I saw some photos where some skins were brighter than others. Replacement of skin pieces were a fairly normal occurrence due to fatigue and/or damage.

I’m also partial toward using the duct intake and exhaust opening covers: the kit comes with them and it seems from photos that FOD was a fear whenever the aircraft was on the ground.
