Silly Week 2006

This is my first post on ARC but have been a daily visitor here for 3-4 years. I constructed this model as a Christmas present for my best friend who used to work for that company. They may have or may not have been out to get rid of him. I used to kid him about them following him in a "Black Helicopter" and hovering over his house. It made for a fun Christmas present and was fun to work on.  I used an Academy model which was my first other than Revell- Monogram. It took about 15 hours to build that included a lot of decal experimentation. Decals and Photo Shop work was done by my son Dirk. Logo was taken off the net and color changed from blue to yellow because they would not show up against the flat black. Aircraft numbering was done with transfers, and shark teeth were used from the kit. I use 4 coats Tamiya Smoke to tint the canopy. Body in flat black and clear flat clear coat to seal decals.

It was not my best job by far, started on Dec. 22 finished Dec 24,  but it was one of the best fitting kits I have ever done.
