This plane belonged to the Magyar Királyi Honvéd Légierő (Royal Hungarian Home Defence Air Force), 1/1 Vadászszázad (Fighter squadron). The Bf-109 F series was the replacement for the aging Re-2000 Héja fighters. This model is showing the plane at Rossos airport in October-November 1942. At this time, this squadron was conducting fighter-bomber and low-level attack operations under JG54 command.

The above photo also shows our model club badge.

This model was built out of box using Gunze acrylics. I used the kit's German decal markings and I sprayed on "yellow 4" on the fuselages, along with the Hungarian and yellow ID markings.

The base was made using railroaders' grass, painted with different shades of greens. I used a razor to shave away the grass from selected areas and added soil using really fine mud left behind oil drilling.
