" Red 546"
was flown by Maj. Galyshevskiy, a WWII veteran Soviet pilot, operating in
North Korea from April 1952 to March 1953. With this plane he downed two
B-29's and a F-94B. The Trumpeter kit is really good, fit is excellent, I
did not use putty anyway. I used the Eduard photoetch set 48-417 and the Aires
set for the Tamiya kit. The ejection seat dolly is scratchbuilt.

Decals are from Cutting
Edge and Aeromaster. Airbrush painting with Gunze color, olive drab 304,
green brown 402 and dark gray 401 underside. Weathering with oils thinned
in white spirit over a gloss coat. Last matt coat with Lifecolor matt base.
