1/48 F-84G

--------------------

The Danish constitutional day was celebrated on June 5, but sadly ARC had no articles regarding Danish props or jets.

This F-84 was built for a former pilot who flew exactly this jet (well ok, a bigger one!) back in 1958. Its a great kit and was built pretty much OOB, except for the Eduard harness.  It is painted in various shades of Alclad.  I used the kits stencils, but the roundels are from a Danish manufacture - Stoppel Decals.

I usually weather my planes, but according to the pictures I found on the subject, it seems RDAF jets were pretty clean...and further more since the kit was built for someone else who probably wouldn't think too much about it being weathered or not (and being eager to get one to another build...) Well to cut it short: I didn't weather it at all.

Anyways, the old pilot was very pleased with the result!

Hope you like it as well.  The pics are probably not the best, but when I took them I didn't have an entry on ARC in mind!
