1/32 Hasegawa BF-109 G-6

This article has been long time coming as I built this model a while back as many of you recall.  This is the excellent 1/32 Hasegawa kit that many have raved about and I will not got further into that, except to say it's an excellent kit.  It's basically built out of box.  I added a few things to the cockpit out of the scrap box and aftermarket decals.

The model was painted in the standard RLM 74/75 uppers and RLM 76 unders.  The Blue Reichs defense band Is RLM 24 and RLM 04 cowling and rudder.  The weathering was done with Black pastels and dark Brown watercolors to highlight the panel lines.

Decals are the excellent EagleEditions sheet # 39.

This model depicts a 109 flown by pilot Uffz Gunther Sahl.  He and aircraft were lost on April 9 1944.

Look forward to build many more 109's in the future.

Cheers and happy modeling

Andy G
