1/48 Eduard Fw 190 A-8

(converted to a late A-7)

--------------------

This is the new 1/48 scale Eduard FW 190 A-8 backdated to a late A-7.

To build up this Model was a wonderful experience, because everything fixed directly. However, with perseverance and a pound of body filler, it does build up without any problems.  In this case I look forward to build the next Eduard Fw 190´s and Bf 110´s kits!

I used, of course, the Photo etched part from the Box and also others like Eduard 48556 and the FE 370 Placards.

The plane was painted with Gunze acrylics and thinned with Alcohol. The scheme was the basic RLM 74/75/76 without mottles on the Fuselage Before decaling; I used Tamiya Gloss to get a glossy surface.

This was the personnel Aircraft of Hauptmann Alfred Grislawski, Staffelkapitaen of the 1. /JG1 from January ´44.  The decals are from Kagero Publications (JG1).  To use these one you have to take care because there are very thin.

After decaling the Model, I used the Post Shading method to weather the Model.  I used a mixture of much thinned red brown and black to airbrush this it onto the nearby finish Model.

I know I’ll buy more Eduard 190’s, because there are really really good in quality and extras!
