1/32 Hasegawa Bf-109

This is my 1:32 Hasegawa Bf109G-10 in Yugoslavian colors. The Plane has a strange story, in the begining it was used by the Luftwaffe, then given to Croatian Air Forces, then in April 1945, Warrant Officer Tatarevic flew it from Zagrep to Mostar. (today Mostar is a part of Bosnia, it is famous with its old bridge which was built in 1466 by Turks  but destroyed by a Croat tank in civil war, in the early 90s.  The Mostar bridge was re-built by a Turkish company a few years ago)

The plane has  RLM 76/82/83 colors, with the nose and rudder partially painted Gelb RLM 04  like we used to see on many Luftwaffe planes.

Well, there is not much to say about Hasegawa's 32nd scale Bf109.  I guess all we know something!?  But I must admit I had built a G-4 before, it was slightly better fitting.  On the G-10 I used just a bit Mr.surfacer for the wing-fuselage connection.

As for aftermarket I used Ventura decals VA3252 set which disappointed me.....very thin fragile and glossy decals gave me a hard time.  That explains why it was cheap.  Beside that I added Eduard's Bf-109G type colored seatbelts to cockpit.

Overall, it was a nice experience, while I built this kit I searched about Balkan region a lot where my roots are.

Now I have a nice Bf-109 on my shelf and I imagine myself drinking caj (tea) beside Neretva river, watching young Bosnians jumping from bridge to river! :)

Happy Modelling
